As I have no particular affinity for either team [my dream had been for Green Bay, then the 49ers, but like current Manchester United.....], my support will be given - the proclivity for many years - as an older guy to an older player: the genuinely great all-time quarterback Peyton Manning [named Most Valuable Player this season, for the 5th time in his career, no other player having been so named more than 3 times], playing this premier position aged 37.
My own athletic prowess will be tested by consuming bourbon and pizza in Superbowl proportions, another tradition of many, many years. Different 'older' ages; different skill sets.
